Entrapment Syndrome/Hand Numbness

There are more than a dozen sites where the nerves travelling from the neck to the hand can become "entrapped". When this occurs, a patient can experience pain, numbness, or tingling into the forearm, fingers, or whole hand.

Doctor's Treatment Plan
The doctors will identify the exact area where the nerve is being entrapped by either a muscle or ligament. The doctors will then utilize Active Release Technique to "free" the entrapped nerve. This form of stretch-massage is followed by electrical therapeutics and a home stretch program to prevent future exacerbation.

Note: It should always be considered that not all injuries are spinal related, and therefore not all injuries can be fully corrected with the benefit of chiropractic medicine. Further, the injury profiles and recommendations for treatment should in no way be used as a substitute for the care of a physician.
