Hamstring Pulls

Hamstring injuries often occur at the base of the buttocks, or the back of the thigh. They are often caused by running, or aerobic activity. In some cases prolonged sitting can aggravate the condition.

Doctor's Treatment Plan
When treating hamstring injuries it is paramount to increase muscle length, as well as break up any scar tissue. This is accomplished by utilizing ultrasound and performing Active Release Technique. As the scar tissue is broken up and the hamstring muscles lengthened, the doctors will provide the patient with specific home stretches.

Note: It should always be considered that not all injuries are spinal related, and therefore not all injuries can be fully corrected with the benefit of chiropractic medicine. Further, the injury profiles and recommendations for treatment should in no way be used as a substitute for the care of a physician.
