Meniscus Injuries

This condition is characterized by areas of torn cartilage. If left untreated, it can cause serious joint degeneration and acute arthritis. A conservative rehabilitative approach, that focuses on pain reduction, is recommended before any surgical measures are taken.

Doctor's Treatment Plan
Treatment consists of a highly-individualized rehab plan to return the patient back to an active and free lifestyle. Physiotherapies, including electric muscle stimulation, are immediately introduced to decrease pain and swelling. Patient-specific range of motion exercises, as well as stretching and strengthening activities, are employed in order to stabilize the knee-joint.

Note: It should always be considered that not all injuries are spinal related, and therefore not all injuries can be fully corrected with the benefit of chiropractic medicine. Further, the injury profiles and recommendations for treatment should in no way be used as a substitute for the care of a physician.
