Dr. Nicholas F. Amico received his Doctor of Chiropractic from the National University of Health Sciences in Chicago, Illinois. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science in Human Anatomy from the National College of Chiropractic. He specializes in the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions allowing patients to take an active role in their treatment and rehabilitation. Dr. Amico is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician from the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians. He is certified in Active Release Techniques for the Spine, Upper and Lower Extremities, Nerve Entrapments and Biomechanics. He is a certified practitioner of Graston Techniques. Dr. Amico is a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer.
Dr. Amico has lectured to personal trainers and triathletes, as well as many other professional and amateur athletes on such topics as the benefits of correct postural balances, proper training techniques and injury prevention and treatment. He, along with the other doctors at Duke Chiropractic, developed the W.E. Run App, designed to show proper exercises for pre and post activity. His medical staff appointments include Co-leading a medical team at The NYC Ironman Triathlon, NYC Marathon, NYC Olympic Distance Triathlon, Manhattan Classic Gymnastics competition and the Nassau County Wrestling Championships.
